8/24 -- The official document we received listed Gladys Knight as a performer at the memorial. A rep for Gladys tell us that there was a miscommunication ... she will not be performing, but she will be in attendance.

TMZ just got a list of the performers who will take the mic at Aretha Franklin's memorial next Thursday, and it's awesome!!!

The event will go down at the Chene Park Amphitheatre in Detroit on August 30.

According to a doc obtained by TMZ, performances can be acoustic, track or with the Aretha Franklin combined band.

And, all artists will have to pay for their own air, ground and hotel accommodations.

As you know, Aretha died last week after a long battle with pancreatic cancer.
