The Compton rapper -- who stands 5'5" -- was going for a stroll Tuesday morning in Sydney with his hired muscle close by. He's got a show there later Tuesday, and it seems like he didn't wanna deal with any surprises ahead of his performance ... 'cause no one would dare come within 10 feet of him with this monster of a dude serving as a shield.
Can't blame him for wanting the extra security -- Kendrick's cherished goods these days now that he's got a Pulitzer under his belt ... plus all those other accolades.
He's also arguably the best MC in the game right now ... so yeah, protect your neck, bro.
